Canada Warbler  Wilsonia Canadensis
Canada Warbler
Wilsonia Canadensis

This warbler appears to be monogamous as it breeds from eastern Canada and the higher Appalachians as far south as Georgia.  It can be found in extensive forests of mature mixed hardwoods where it prefers moist habitats of thickets and undergrowth near swamps and streams.  Feeding on insects, it forages as a flycatcher more than most warblers.
Its nesting site is on or very near the ground, usually within 6 inches.
